For this knife the Humvee DNA played a major role in establishing the look and feel. The OTF knife really needed to portray the feeling of being rugged, tactical, and indestructible, just like a Humvee vehicle. The secure one hand deployment and retraction is fast and reliable. The handle has a confident grip in hand, while also providing top notch ergonomics. The knife is tough with an attitude to match and ready to take on any task thrown at it.
I was really inspired by armor and military guns for this knife. I really wanted it to have a mean, aggressive presence that wouldn’t go unnoticed. Comfort also played a big role and making sure the knife comfortably locked into the hand in multiple positions was a must. The added functionality of the serrations are a benefit when needing to get through tougher tasks.
